The Minnesota Black Music Awards presented by Black Music America will celebrate our 41st year with a special award presentation to Malina Moye during her concert appearance on Tuesday, June 27th at the Dakota. The award recognizes her contributions to Minnesota’s music, arts, culture, and community.
“I’m so excited and honored to receive this award from Mr. Pete Rhodes and Mrs. Kim Rhodes from The Minnesota Black Music Awards,” states Moye. “Growing up in the Twin Cities and being inspired by everyone who created the Minneapolis sound and the impact that Minnesota music and artists have had on our culture and the world is immeasurable. Thank you for including me in the Black Minnesota Music staple of some of my favorite artists of all time!”
The award was presented to Malina at the Dakota before her performance on June 27.
